Sydney Kane is an NYC based actor/singer/writer. Sydney grew up in Dallas, Texas and moved to NYC to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University. In person, she was most recently seen in the Off Broadway production of The Moss Maidens by S. Dylan Zwickel. On the phone, you can find her silly videos on Instagram and TikTok about the wonders, joys, and BS of the dating world. Sydney also enjoys performing improv, stand up, and sketch comedy.
Recent work
Sydney was so thrilled to be cast in the 29 hour industry reading of Songs for Slutty Girls by Kailey Marshall. It was presented on February 26th, 2024.
In the Summer of 2023, Sydney associate produced and was cast in the role of Helena in the play The Moss Maidens. A show that was inspired by true events about a group of girls in the Netherlands during the rise of Nazi Germany who lured Nazis into the woods, had sex with them, and then killed them. The show premiered at the SheNYC arts festival and won Best Ensemble and Best Play. This was Sydney’s first producing project.

After a really horrible date in September 2023, Sydney was fed up with the absurdity of the dating world and decided to make a silly TikToks/Instagram reels about it. what started out as just a way to blow off steam in the best way she knows how (comedy) it has now become another outlet for sydney to express her creative ability. Sydney currently has over 16k followers on instagram, which coincidentally adds up to the number of voices in her head.
